Open calls


  • 1° Open Call PLATOON: the call for the digitalization of the energy sector, funded by the Horizon 2020 program, kicks off. The call will support 6 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that will have to face one of the following challenges:
    - Ready-Made Challenge
    - Free-Choice Challenge
    Each of the 6 selected SMEs will receive up to € 150,000 in equity-free grants and participate in a 9-month mentoring and support program. The deadline to participate is March 4th 2021.


  • EIT Health Catapult: launch of the training and acceleration program that stimulates the development of the most innovative start-ups active in the biotech, medtech and digital health fields. The program gives start-ups the opportunity to become part of the EIT Health Community and offers intensive training and greater visibility through a pan-European exhibition. The finalists, startups and spin-offs, will compete for the € 70,000 prize during the EIT Health Summit. The deadline for submitting applications is March 16th 2021.

  • euRobotics Entrepreneurship Award: the nominations for the award that is awarded annually to the most promising start-up in the robotics sector are underway. The 202 edition will be held in virtual mode on 13 and 14 April at the European Robotics Forum. The deadline for submitting the application is March 16th 2021.

  • TruBIo 1st open call: the call is part of the NGI (Next Generation Internet) initiative, which aims to provide initial funding for the development of new software, platforms or tools created through blockchain technologies. Academic teams, researchers, SMEs and start-ups are sent to define and implement small-scale research projects in two areas of interest:
    - Trust and reputation models on blockchains
    - Proof-of-validity and proof-of-location
    Selected participants can get up to € 175,000 and the deadline for submitting applications is March 19th 2021.


  • Call for impactability: the 1st edition of the call for impactability by 3Bee, an agritech startup specialized in the development of innovative technologies to protect the planet, is online. The project, in collaboration with Le Village by Crédit Agricole in Milan, aims to focus on 3 areas:
    - The impact through collaboration with businesses or companies
    - The impact through the daily actions of the individual
    - The impact through concerted community actions
    Participating projects will be able to win cash prizes. Applications to participate can be sent by March 19th 2021.


  • Digital Health Boston 2021: the Bridging Innovation Program promoted by the Emilia-Romagna Region in collaboration with ART-ER, offers companies - startups and regional research laboratories an opportunity for growth and development, starting internationalization processes and deepening the Open Innovation. The aim of the program is to know and disseminate important best practices and to promote collaborations in the field of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in the health sector and in the Digital Health sector.
    The deadline for submitting applications is March 22th 2021.


  • Calling2Scale Bootcamp: the call is open to participate in the acceleration program for highly innovative European and Israeli startups. EIT Hub Israel strategically prepares startups with disruptive innovations and improves their abilities to enter and expand into new global markets. The technological areas in which it operates are:
    - Waste Management & Recycling
    - Renewable Energy
    - Health
    The deadline for submitting applications is March 26th 2021.


  • EIT Health InnoStars Awards: applications are open for the EIT Health InnoStars Awards program, which is aimed at micro and small and medium-sized enterprises, start-ups and spin-offs that have developed a prototype or a minimum functional product (Minimum Viable Product) in the healthcare sector. The program includes a training course lasting 4 months for 15 selected teams. The deadline for submitting applications is March 27th 2021.

  • Next Generation Media: the 1st open call of the Stadiem acceleration program is underway. The acceleration program brings together startups, scaleup investors and media organizations to foster the development of Next Generation Media solutions. The call has a total budget of € 1.93 million, a duration of 14 months and 4 phases. The deadline for submitting applications is March 31th 2021.

  • Startup and SME Booster Call 2021: EIT RawMaterials launches its call to startups and SMEs with the aim of providing support to develop innovative products and services that can have a positive impact in the raw materials sector. The program seeks innovative solutions for:
    Discovery and sustainable supply of primary and secondary resources
    Sustainable materials for future mobility
    Commodities and circular companies
    The deadline for submitting proposals is March 31th 2021.

  • Cinecittà Game Hub: the 1st Call for innovative startups in the videogame sector is underway. Promoted by Istituto Luce Cinecittà, the Lazio Region and the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, the intention is to support the start-up and development of 10 innovative startups, of which 2 still to be established at the time of application. The subsidy consists of a contribution to the costs of the project and participation in an acceleration program lasting about three months. The deadline for submitting the application is April 12th 2021.

  • Unicredit StartLab: it is possible to subscribe to the business platform designed by Unicredit with the aim of supporting startups, the ecosystem of Italian and international innovation and new technologies. The 4 main areas are:
    - Innovative Made in Italy
    - Digital
    - Life Science
    - Clean Tech
    The deadline for submitting the application is April 20th 2021.


  • Aimag Resiliency 2020: the AIMAG RESILIENCY 2020 call has the objective of selecting innovative solutions to ensure continuity in the provision of services managed by the AIMAG Group in emergency conditions. AIMAG RESILIENCY 2020 is a project grafted within the AIMAG Group's Open Innovation strategy. The solutions must guarantee the continuity of supply, in emergency conditions, of the services managed by the AIMAG Group. Startups and spin-offs can participate and the 3 projects deemed most interesting will be chosen as winners and will be awarded with a grant of up to 50,000 euros each to be allocated to the development of the project.
    It is possible to apply by May 16th 2021.
